Course: Graduate Diploma in Theology
I like to study at YTU because of its ecumenical character. I study theology side by side not just with Catholics but other Christian denominations including Anglicans, Uniting Church, Church of Christ, Lutherans, etc. Moreover, most of my classmates are lay while clergy and religious are in the minority. Such ecumenical diversity with laity as a majority in a theological centre or school neither exists or is imaginable in my country the Philippines. I also love the sense of independence given to the students to grow in and discover theological knowledge on their own without much pressure and with encouragement and support from the teachers.
